Our Projects
Our work grows from the needs and imagination of the communities we are part of.
Every project explores what it looks like to build narrative power together, across movements, languages, and geographies.

Hive Connecting Fund
An experimental new resourcing mechanism designed to strengthen narrative infrastructure by supporting connecting. The funding pot will support close network members with stipends . Grounded in trust, decentralisation, and long-term relationship building, the fund prioritises collaboration across borders that advances movement cross-pollination, narrative power-building, decolonisation, and liberatory futures.

Sankofa Commons
A Pan-African initiative cultivating narrative consciousness for liberated futures. The project works to strengthen infrastructures that amplify disconnected and invisibilised knowledge across Africa and the Global South(s), centering indigenous knowledge systems and southern epistemologies.

East Africa Cohorts
Bringing together 40 activists, artists and organisers from Kenya and Uganda to strengthen narrative practice across climate, gender, LGBTQI+ and social justice movements. Through peer learning, cross-regional exchange and collaborative reflection, participants developed new strategies, built lasting relationships and strengthened the narrative infrastructure needed to advance more just futures.

Family Values Traditional Values
This Community of Practice is an experimental initiative rooted in the East Africa node. This builds on a collaborative social media listening research that surfaced public perceptions of LGBTQI+ and family narratives including frames to activate a narrative shift. The COP convenes primarily African, and other Global Majority actors disrupting "Family" and "African Values" narratives.

GAYAP
The Caribbean node of the Global Narrative Hive, strengthening regional narrative infrastructure through relationship-building, experimentation and shared learning. Grounded in Caribbean traditions of collective action, it supports artists, organisers and researchers to advance climate justice and LGBTQI+ narratives while building a lasting ecosystem for collaboration, knowledge generation and narrative innovation.

Decolonise Now Fellowship
This Narrative Research Fellowship supports movement-rooted research on Palestinian liberation, decolonisation and transnational solidarity. Developed with the Decolonise Now! Working Group, the fellowship generates politically grounded narrative research, convenes collective learning, and produces practical tools that strengthen movement strategy, cross-border solidarity and decolonial narrative practice.

Confluence
A global gathering of narrative practitioners that the Hive co-convenes alongside partners including IRIS, Puentes, Nebula Fund and regional movement organisations. Beyond the convening itself, the Hive helps shape collaborative agendas, strengthen partnerships, and build lasting relationships that advance collective learning, ecosystem coordination and shared narrative infrastructure across regions.

Imagining The Otherwise
A multilingual writers' cohort co-hosted with Intrasentido that brought together storytellers, organisers, and cultural workers from eight countries to reimagine safety and security beyond punishment, borders, and fear. The cohort produced an openly adaptable curriculum guide and a literary zine with the fellows' writing.

Common Cause
The initiative works to support organisations across four continents to experiment with new approaches to narrative collaboration rooted in their own cultural and movement contexts. Rather than funding isolated projects, the initiative prioritised collective learning, peer exchange and open reflection, generating practical insights that continue to strengthen narrative practice and infrastructure across the Hive's global network.
