About The Hive
The Global Narrative Hive is a decentralised network that supports the global narrative change ecosystem. We convene, resource, and learn alongside movements working for rights, justice, and the planet, at the intersections of creative practice, organising, and research.
It started in 2021, when a group of activists, campaigners, communications workers, researchers, artists, and organisers from across movements began a vast collaboration. What brought them together was a shared belief: that narrative change can only happen when movements themselves have the knowledge, resources, and connections to shape the stories that define their realities.
Over eighteen months, more than 400 people across 35 countries and six languages shaped what would become the Hive. 40% of them were working outside traditional NGO structures. Together they designed its governance, priorities, and direction.
In 2025, we paused to listen and had conversations with over 50 partners and practitioners across more than 20 countries that shaped a new strategic direction, one grounded in what the field told us it needs most: connection, shared infrastructure, and resourcing that reflects how narrative work actually happens.
"Movements worldwide have the power, knowledge, and connections to shape narratives that support lasting social, cultural and systemic change"
Our Mission
To connect and grow the global ecosystem of narrative actors, including activists, researchers, campaigners, artists, and communicators, by strengthening coordination across the narrative field, supporting equitable and transformative resourcing, and creating space for shared learning and knowledge production.
Our Vision
Movements worldwide for liberation, justice, and the planet have the power, knowledge, and connections to shape narratives that support lasting social, cultural and systemic change.
